Polishing “Mow-Down” Technique

This is very unique polishing technique used when the paint is soft (or has a lot of paint residue) AND there are minor swirls that "normally" would not require a compounding. A simple polishing would do the trick. However, when the residue is very thick, the polishing pad gets overwhelmed with contaminants and stops polishing after 1 pass. So, you need to perform whats called a "mow-down" with a microfiber pad (my choice...pick whats best for you) to quickly pick up the top layer of dead paint so that your polishing pad can work without excessive overload. Hope this helps your detailing! Thanks for watching :)
